Come join us for a great time at badminton to improve agility and coordination while having fun and meeting new people!

If you wish to play as a drop-in player, please check in with the Ottawa Racquet Sports meetup.com group. Please note space is limited!

For your own safety and for the protection of gym floors, please wear non-marking, indoor court shoes.  Eye protection is also encouraged.

2025 OFSL Spring/Summer Competitive Wednesday Badminton: (April 30 - Aug 27 2025)

For people who have played badminton at Competitive/Advanced levels and are comfortable playing with feathered birds. Players will provide their own racquet and will also contribute 2 birds per night.

Full time and drop in are welcome based on availability. NOTE: Players will be vetted for this league.

From  April 30th to May 28th, 2025  :
Where: (Spring) Colonel By SS located at 2381 Ogilvie Rd, Gloucester, ON K1J (Note that location may change)
When: Wednesday Evenings
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 pm

Shuttles: Note that this event will be played with feathered shuttles only. Players will need to contribute 2 shuttles/evening or purchase from OFSL at $6.00/2 shuttles

From  June 4th to August 27th, 2025  :
Where: (June & August) Montpetit Hall, Gym #3 located at 125 University Private (air conditioned gym)
When: Wednesday Evenings
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 pm

Date:  April 30th to August 27th, 2025  - total of 18 sessions

Shuttles: Note that this event will be played with RSL feathered shuttles ONLY which can be purchased from OFSL. All Players will need to contribute 2 shuttles/evening or purchase from OFSL at $6.00/2 shuttles
Cost:  $155 + HST (early bird special) - $165 + HST after April 30th, 2025
Level of Play: Competitive/Advanced

2025 OFSL Spring & Summer Intermediate Wednesday Badminton: (April 30 - Aug 27 2025)

This league is not for beginners but intended for intermediates who

  • play regularly (now or in the past);
  • are familiar with the rules of doubles-play; and
  • can serve, hit and sustain rallies.

The club will provide birdies. You will bring your own racquet and wear non-marking, indoor court shoes.

 

From April 30th to May 28th, 2025:

2025 OFSL Spring/Summer Intermediate/Advanced/Competitive Monday Badminton (May 5 - Aug 25, 2025)

This "league" is intended for people who have played badminton before and understand the basic rules of doubles play. The club will provide birdies. You will bring your own racquet.

From May 5th to May 26th, 2025: (exclusion date May 19th, 2025)
Where: St Joseph HS - wood gym (3333 Greenbank Rd, Nepean, ON K2J 4J1)
When: Monday Evenings
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 pm

From June 2nd to August 25th, 2025: (exclusion dates June 16th, June 30th & Aug 4th, 2025)
Where: Turnbull School - wood gym (1132 Fisher Ave, Ottawa, ON K1Z 6P7)
When: Monday Evenings
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Total Dates: May 5th to August 25th, 2025 - total of 13 sessions
Shuttles: Note that this event will be played with Nylon shuttles
Cost:  $130 + HST (early bird special) - $140 + HST after April 30th, 2025


Level of Play: Intermediate/Advanced/Competitive
